Description

The president’s primary role is to be a faith-based leader for the school community. The president is responsible for overall operation of the school by serving as the Chief Executive Officer. The president is directly responsible to the Society of Mary and appointed by and reports to the Board of Directors. The president is also responsible for the following:

  • Insure, articulate and strengthen our Catholic, Marianist traditions
  • Live and lead the Mission, vision and philosophy of the school
  • Implement policies and procedures of the board
  • Advancement and fund raising
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Strategic planning
  • Marketing and communications
  • Facilities maintenance and improvements
  • Legal issues
  • Community Relations including civil and ecclesiastical forums

The president’s direct reports include the Principal, Director of Advancement with a 4-member team, Director of Finances and Facilities with a 7-member team, Director of Admissions with a 3-member team, and Director of Strategic Marketing with a 3-member team.

  • Faith-filled and Christ-centered servant leader who embraces and models the community’s rich Marianist traditions, Catholic values and welcoming family spirit
  • Strong practicing Catholic with a passion for Catholic education
  • Values brain-based research and education models as it relates to single gender, all-boys, teaching and learning environments
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan in an ultra-competitive Catholic college preparatory environment, familiarity with the St. Louis market preferred
  • Skilled at identifying, attracting, developing and retaining high-quality staff with a commitment and passion for delivering a transformational Catholic educational experience
  • Proven leadership in business management with the skills for long-term financial planning and budgeting
  • Familiar with managing the challenges and opportunities of a school with the ability to raise funds and market the benefits of a Marianist education
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in business development and leading change
  • Must be able to establish rapport and trust with students, faculty, staff, parent and alumni communities
  • Master’s degree in business, education, organizational leadership, or related field with extensive experience in leading an organization
