The parent-led board of Vianney lacrosse seeks to hire its next head coach. The head coach is responsible for organizing and leading the lacrosse program, focused on forming young men that align with the school’s mission and values. 

Specifically, a Vianney coach forms student-athletes intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially. Through faith-centered leadership, commitment to excellence, family spirit, service to others, and adaptability, the coach develops not only successful competitors but also compassionate leaders who contribute positively to their communities and the world.

The responsibilities and qualities of the head coach include, but are not limited to: 

• Forming student-athletes for spiritual, academic and personal excellence in the Catholic, Marianist tradition 

• Connecting well with students of all ability levels

• Works collaboratively with the lacrosse board to build future participation

• Creating trust with athletes, parents, staff, lacrosse board members, and school administration

• Building strong relationships within the school community

• Promoting accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive environment

• Utilizing excellent communication skills with all stakeholders in the program

• Organizing schedules and practices in efficient and effective ways
